Queensland, Roots Creek near Mt. Carbine in Mt. Mollow district, 80 miles (130 km) west of Cairns.Distribution and Habitat
The species occurs in rainforest streams at elevations above 1000 m a.s.l. in a small area west of Mossman, north Queensland, from Mt. Lewis in the south to the Mt. Spurgeon region in the north, a distance of 20 km. The high country is drained by the Mossman River to the east and tributaries of the Mitchell River to the west and south. Creeks are well shaded and log and leaf litter are abundant.References
