Holotype, Museum of Victoria, Melbourne J4526 (male); paratypes, Australian Museum, Sydney P15313 (2 male, 6 female).Distribution
The species has been collected at elevations between 150 m and 400 m above sea level from the easterly and southerly flowing streams from near Mt. Imlay south of Eden (New South Wales) to Lind National Park, 20 km west of Cann River (Victoria), a distance of about 90 km.Habitat
Dry sclerophyll forest and heath vegetated ridges above streams with tree ferns and vines frequently along valleys. Euastacus bidawalus is present in cleared areas if a border of vegetation persists along creeks.References
