    Figure. Oral view of two club suckers of P. sulcus. Most of the outer ring has fallen off the sucker on the left revealing the dentition on the inner ring. Similar dentition can be seen on the intact but collapsed sucker on the far right.

All scanning electron micrographs are of the holotype of P. sulcus and were taken by R.  Young.
