Introduction
A small neotropical genus with notable sexual dimorphism of wing shape and coloration. The female of O. hopfferi illustrated above was originally described as a different genus and species (Dis annulatus) by Mabille (1890). A Costa Rican sibling species, O. stangelandi, was recently described based on DNA barcode sequences (Grishin et al. 2013) from cloud forest on Volcan Cacao in the Area de Conservacion Guanacaste.References
