This tree diagram shows the relationships between several groups of organisms.
The root of the current tree connects the organisms featured in this tree to their containing group and the rest of the Tree of Life. The basal branching point in the tree represents the ancestor of the other groups in the tree. This ancestor diversified over time into several descendent subgroups, which are represented as internal nodes and terminal taxa to the right.

Three robust, crepuscular forest species of which females are about 10% larger than males. Adults feed on rotting fruit. Larvae have been recorded from bromeliads - the only nymphalid taxon known to feed on this group (Penz et al. 1999). The genus is distributed from Mexico throughout tropical Central and South America.Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
The topology is that of Garzón-Orduña & Penz (2009), based on a cladistic analysis of 57 characters from adult morphology.References
