Here is a short movie of a proturan walking. Note how the first legs are held forward, as if they were antennae (which are absent in proturans).

This specimen was collected between moist, decaying leaves on the floor of a mixed forest (Duke Forest, Durham, North Carolina, USA) composed of sweetgum, oak, hickory, a few pines, etc.
