Scientific Name Trypanosoma cruzi
Comments T. cruzi, causes “Chagas disease”, a zoonotic disease that can be transmitted to humans by blood-sucking triatomine bugs. Here, the protozoa were cultured in a laboratory setting using a HeLa cell, S-3 culture.
