Pirascca patriciae

A species that does not bear many of the synapomorphies characterizing the genus, and is therefore considered by its authors to be the potential sister-taxon to the other species. It is known from eight male specimens from a single locality on the western slope of the Ecuadorean Andes.
Holotype
The holotype will be deposited in the Natural History Museum (London). Locality data: Ecuador: Pichincha, km 5 Nanegal - G. Moreno rd., Palmitobamba, 1550 m., 1 Sept. 1996. leg. KR Willmott.
