Pipra
John Harshman- Pipra aureola (Crimson-hooded Manakin)
- Pipra filicauda (Wire-tailed Manakin)
- Pipra fasciicauda (Band-tailed Manakin)
Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
The traditional genus Pipra is polyphyletic; the name belongs to P. aureola and its relatives, and other former members, in other parts of the tree, need other names. Dixiphia pipra is here, and the remaining species are in a so far unnamed group here.References
