Comments | Abbots Bobby (Papasula abbot)) is the largest and rarest booby bird that nests only on Christmas Island. They travel far to breed and non-breeding adults rarely return to the island. One egg is laid each time and the slowly developing chick takes 160 days to be fully fledged. It nests high in emergent trees. |
