Lyces angulosa type species of Lyces
James S. Miller and Andrew V. Z. BrowerIntroduction
A species endemic to the Atlantic coastal forest of Brazil. Many eastern Brazilian specimens identified as "Josia vittula" (now Proutiella vittula) in collections are actually representatives of this species. Another extremely similar species is Lyces constricta. The three are undoubtedly involved in Müllerian mimicry with one another.
