Introduction

An Indomalayan genus with one widespread species (L. brassolis) and one endemic to New Guinea (L. grandis).

Characteristics

The adults' mouthparts are completely atrophied and non-functional, and all adult energy resources are carried through from the larval stages, which prey upon the larvae of the green tree ant Oecophylla smaragdina (Tennent 2002).
