Eritina
Andrew V. Z. BrowerDiscussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
According to Miller (1968), Eritini is composed of Erites and Coelites. Molecular data suggest that Coelites is instead associated with Euptychia. Current evidence implies that Orsotriaena is the sister taxon of Zipaetis (Peña et al. 2006), and Peña et al. placed the two genera in Hypocystina. Unpublished results (Wahlberg & Brower) place both of these taxa with Erites. These results are preliminary and we expect the position of these taxa to shift as new data are added.
