A wide-ranging, geographically variable species with numerous named subspecies, distributed from northern India to Sulawesi and Maluku. Larvae feed on Adenia, Balbas, Modecca and Passiflora (Passifloraceae) (Vane-Wright and de Jong, 2003).References
