Introduction
Twenty-three valid species of Cephalosphaera (Cephalosphaera) occur in all major biogeographical regions.
Characteristics
The nominate genus of Cephalosphaera differs from Cephalosphaera (Neocephalosphaera) in having a comb of long setae apically on the hind tibia and a small, distal membranous area in males.
