Bullinularia
Ralf Meisterfeld and Edward MitchellIntroduction
Seven species which differ mainly in their dimensions; type species: Bullinularia indica (Penard, 1907).
Characteristics
Test: dark brown and opaque, oval in oral view, attached siliceous particles, most species have a flattened ventral surface with a smooth surface; hemispheroid laterally. Pseudostome: a long curving slit, ventral lip prolonged, dorsal lip with pores. B. foissneri has a deep apertural furrow. Vesicular or ovular nucleus!
