Introduction
A genus of robust, hairy species of the neotropics. Some are so mottled and tufted as to resemble bird droppings. The delimitation of the genus was restricted by Maddison (1996).Species in America north of Mexico
The single US species (wickhami) placed in this genus is misplaced; it is apparently more closely related to Hentzia or Anicius. B. wickhami is small, somewhat beetle-like, and lives in mangroves. This is the female:References
