Acrodipsas

This tree diagram shows the relationships between several groups of organisms.

The basal branching point in the tree represents the ancestor of the other groups in the tree. This ancestor diversified over time into several descendent subgroups, which are represented as internal nodes and terminal taxa to the right.

An endemic Australian hairstreak genus. The larvae of some species are predatory on ant larvae.
Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships
Acrodipsas contains species formerly included in Pseudodipsas. Sands (1980) considered the former to be more closely-related to another Australian endemic genus, Paralucia.
